Display Screen Assessment

One of the main roles of OH is to assist the organisation to eliminate risk factors in the work environment. Health Surveillance for Display Screen Equipment (DSE)is based on risk assessment where employee is spending 40% or more of their working day using computer screen. The DSE Regulations 1992 ( amended by H&S Miscelleneous Amendments Regs 2002) aims to comply with ergonomic principles of design, selection, installation and use of equipment, design of workplaces and organisation of tasks. Musculoskeletal issues and Stress are two of the most common problems associated with DSE. Also employees working from home should have their workstation assessed even if employer does not provide the equipment.

We can carry out a basic DSE assessment and also provide specific reports on individual employee needs following injury or ill health that may be aggravated by use of DSE
